Presentation of the Outdoor-News 1

Juli 20th, 2011

To make the ascent also easy for less trained people, the Skyver GmbH in cooperation with Ortovox developed the new Skyvetouring backpack TRAIL RIDER 20. It’s compatible with all MountainSkyver models and distributes the weight well balanced between shoulders and hips. The folded MountainSkyver can be attached to the backpack very easily within a few minutes. The balance point of the scooter and therefore the carrying comfort can be adjusted very exactly according to the body height. Even fully packed does the ORTOVOX TRAIL RIDER 20 still offer enough space for further touring luggage: the 20 litres of additional volume are distributed to five compartments (valuables compartment, first-aid compartment, tool compartment, air pump attachment).

Monte Baldo/Lake Garda

Juni 26th, 2011

We got this amazing impressions and tour  suggestion of the Monte Baldo from our teamrider Markus Leitner:

For your info: the Monte Baldo is located between the Lake Garda and Etsch and is a mountainback with a length of 30 Km. It is possible to reach the peak with a cable car from Malcesine, which makes this mountain with its descents very popular for downhillers but also paragliders.

Caught: prototype passing last hardness test

Juni 22nd, 2011

When Markus und Christian recently tried to do the last hardness test for our brandnew backpack model secretly in the “wolf canyon” near Tegernsee (by the way a gorgeous tour we can absolutely recommend), we were lucky in snatching some snapshots of the new prototype, which we definetely want to present you here:

The exciting ascent of the tour and the ambitous singletrail were an excellent testing ground and absolutely made the day of the two testriders. And the new backpack passed the test with flying colours and will be available from July on, meaning just in time for this years Outdoor Show in Friedrichshafen. We are proudly looking forward to presenting you this newest product on the trade show, soon.

Till then: keep on skyvin’!

MountainSkyver city-action

Juni 13th, 2011

After having you presented various suggestions for MountainSkyver tours on this page,  here’s a very new recommendation by our teamrider Uwe Jetzelsperger from Berlin, which shows that mountains are not necesserely needed for skyving. As you can see on the pictures, Uwe is cruising his MountainSkyver in Berlin-City regularly and has a lot of fun in doing so. In his report, he praises the mobility and the much lighter feeling he has, compared to riding a mountainbike. Nevertheless it is three times faster than walking and makes it easy to move through the city traffic. That’s how you make it to the next meeting without getting stuck in a traffic jam and can easily take it with you, when shopping in a store. Attention- secondary effect: the MountainSkyver attracts a lot of attention in all age- and gender classes which makes it hard to protect oneself from city summer flirts. Also suitable for this use: the E-Skyver kit, we already presented you in the last article, which upgrades every MountainSkyver to a cool ElectroSkyver within a few Minutes. We say: enjoy your rides – wherever, whenever and are looking forward to new reports!
